A key feature of our valuations is the ability to register the item in such a way that it is uniquely identifiable, so that a future match can be made without contention. We advise you to keep your Valuations separate from valuable items and away from prying eyes.
We will keep all information on our secure database should you need to obtain details of items in the event of an incident. Please register with as much of the following as possible, good quality images, edition number, signatures, accurate measurements and where relevant serial numbers.
Included in our valuation service is the registration of the legitimate ownership of works of art and other valuable possessions. As there is no central registry for the sale and purchase of art as there is for property, it is often difficult to prove ownership when items are recovered. Our data base is one of only a few that is endorsed by the police authorities as being secure. The database is not limited to high value, high profile works. Instead, the majority of the items registered are objects stolen from private homes. On average, registered items are typically valued at over £500

DNA security marking system holds Secured By Design accreditation. For the latest in marking and identifying your property SelectaDNA is a unique theft deterrent which really works. The DNA marking system will help prevent the theft of all the expensive items from the smallest pieces of Jewellery to the largest pieces of furniture. SelectaDNA comes in a pot of adhesive glue to apply to any valuable items with out harming them or devaluing them. SelectaDNA also has the advantage of being completely unnoticeable .
Once the items have been marked the DNA code, along with the customers details, are passed on to SelectaMARK and held within their secure LPCB approved database thereby allowing recovered property to be traced back to its rightful owner. After analysis even a tiny molecule of glue can be used to determine who the item really belongs to. As a further means of identification, each pot of SelectaDNA contains at least 1000 microdots.
